Floral Drying Service
Custom Floral Designs
Shadow Boxes

The flowers are dried in a way that holds their natural shape, then styled in place inside of a deep frame. This option gives a more three-dimensional look. My shadowboxes are to be hung on your wall.

Pressed Frames

Through a process that also flattens the blooms, they are dried and then designed inside of a shallow frame. This option gives a more two-dimensional look. Wall frames (of any size), ornaments, and necklaces are made with flowers that were dried using the pressing method.

Tabletop Terrariums

Upgrade your coffee table or mantel with a tiny little world! These pieces combine different elements (driftwood, crystals, butterflies, etc.) with the dried florals to create a scene.

Bursting Bouquets

Want a piece of wall art that just jumps right out at ya? Look no further — I can make you a piece that is bursting right out of its frame!

How it works:
  1. Get in touch with me to discuss your project. Whether you already have a vision for your piece or just a place you know you want to display it, I am happy to work with you to create something spectacular.

  2. I’ll send you a price estimate for the project, and you’ll pay a deposit.

  3. You will ship the flowers to me (if you’re local to Chicago, you can drop them off or arrange for pickup).

  4. I will dry your flowers & create your artwork!

  5. My turnaround time is usually 2-4 months. This all depends on the complexity of your project and how many projects I currently have already in progress.

Testimonials

A little about me…

My name is Jes, and I have been a florist since 2017. I started preserving wedding bouquets and special event flowers because I am a deeply sentimental person. To me, flowers symbolize life, death, and growth — a reminder that beauty exists in every stage. Each bloom carries a story, and I love giving those memories a form that lasts.

In 2020, I learned many different ways to dry flowers, and I began to design with them in little frames. I started selling my pieces to friends and family, and they were a hit! Since then, I’ve sold my work around Chicago at pop-up markets and retail stores. Currently, I work out of my home studio producing custom individual pieces as well as wholesale products upon request.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a custom piece cost?

My pricing depends on a variety of factors, including the types of flowers being dried, the size of the piece, the complexity of the project, etc. During our consultation, I can offer a variety of options to fit your needs and budget. Please shoot me an email or set up a consultation for more information.

What if my flowers are already dried, but I still want art made out of them?

No worries! All you have to do is get them to me and we can discuss options for your artwork.

What if I do not live in Chicago?

That’s totally fine! I have worked with many clients across state lines. I will instruct you how to pack up your flowers in order to have them arrive to me in the freshest state possible.

Will the colors fade?

Just like a textile, or a live plant, exposure to high sunlight will change the colors over time. When these pieces are kept out of direct sunlight, the color is better maintained, and you can expect their pigment to last for decades.

Do I need to provide the flowers?

Nope! I have plenty of flowers to work with. Just let me know if you have any colors or specific flowers in mind. I will bring your vision to life! I am also always happy to take a look at your space and make something up for you that compliments your current decor.

What is your turnaround time?
What if I don’t know what I want?

Depending on the complexity of the project (whether or not I have to dry all new flowers or if I am able to pull from my existing repertoire), as well as how busy I am at the time (holidays tend to be really busy), the turnaround time is anywhere from 2-4 months to finish. If for whatever reason you need your piece(s) sooner, I will do my best to accommodate — IF possible. *An addition “rush” fee will be discussed and must be paid prior to moving forward with the target date.

If you’re unsure of what you want, no worries! Just let me know where the piece will go and if you have a color scheme in mind. I’ll design a piece that compliments the space beautifully.
